Franklin Middle AWARDED Project READ

Franklin Middle applied and was awarded the California’s Project READ, five year grant which focuses on improving reading achievement and academic performance for middle school students.  Only 44 competitively selected middle school sites were selected.  Project READ will be used for our students in the after school program as well as incorporate teaching strategies in the classroom.

Franklin Middle School s 8th grade Promotion and End of the Year School  Activity Participation Guidelines Students will be ineligible to participate if  scholars Receive an F in any one class Have excessive outstanding Unexcused  Absences or Tardies. Multiple of Suspensions. Have an outstanding fine or fee  not cleared by the FMS librarian. Inappropriate school dress code violations  outlined in the student planner. Do not attend graduation practices. Dress code  also enforced for 8th grade panoramic pictures
